Golden Eagle Retrieval Service

Golden Eagle Retrieval provides information retrieval and other services for qualifying Library patrons with disabilities. Turnaround time for most requested services is 24 hours.

Who Qualifies

  • All CSULA students who are authorized by the Office for Students with Disabilities (Student Affairs 115) to receive the accommodation(s), and have on file with the Library an approval form signed by the Office of Students with Disabilities. These signed forms may be submitted at the Circulation Desk, First Floor Library North.

  • All current CSULA faculty, staff, and administrators who request accommodation(s) through the Office for Equity and Diversity of the Division of Human Resources Management (Administration 605)

  • All other Library patrons requesting accommodation will be served in accordance with applicable regulations.

    What Services are Provided

    CIRCULATION - This on-demand service provides for retieval and circulation of requested Library materials. It is the requestor's responsibility to ensure that his/her circulation record is current and that s/he is in good standing. Circulation record checks may be made at the Circulation Desk, First Floor, Library North.

    COPYING - This service provides for retrieval and copying of printed materials, or those in microform. Requestors are responsible for all copier charges and must present a Golden Eagle card or visitor's copy card with sufficient funds on it at the time of the request. Copyright laws will be strictly enforced. Note that processing of microform orders may result in delivery delays.

    How Can You Use Golden Eagle?

    To use the retireval service, submit a copy of your signed OSD (Office for Students with Disabilities) form, along with your requests, to the Circulation Desk, First Floor, Library North. Copies of this form are available from the Office for Students with Disabilities (Student Affairs 115).

    Completed requests may be picked up at the Circulation Desk.

    In What Form May Requests be Submitted?

    Requests may be submitted in the form of computer printouts or reference lists/bibliographies in person at the Circulation Desk or by electronic mail. All requests must include the following:

    1. Your name
    2. A clear indication of which citations you are requesting
    3. Complete citation information for each item requested
