The Friends of the CSULA Library support life-long learning through the development of library programs and resources. The group is composed of members from the campus and surrounding communities who have joined together to promote public awareness of the Library and raise contributions for its continued development and sustained level of excellence.

Become a Friend and you will enjoy access to the CSULA Library materials and programs. Membership in the Friends of CSULA Library is open to individuals as well as businesses.

Members receive:

  • borrowing privileges
  • notices of special cultural events
  • advance notices of book sales

Become a friend and receive the satisfaction of knowing that your membership helps support valuable programs and services at the Library.

The CSULA Library was founded in 1947. It houses over one million books and journals and thousands of films and newspapers, as well as being a federal document depository. Library resources also include research assistance and on-line access to the Library’s catalog and internet data bases. The CSULA Library provides students, faculty and the community with extensive resources for life-long learning, information access and study.

Membership

Regular $ 35 To join, please complete the electronic appliction form below, and press the SUBMIT button. We will process your application, and send you an invoice for the membership category you selected.

Membership is effective for one year, from July 1 through June 30. Memberships purchased after April 1 will extend through June of the following year. New members will receive a notification confirming their membership. Please bring the notification to the Circulation Desk, First Floor, Library North, to receive a library card.

* The Friends of the Library is a recognized program of University Auxiliary Services at California State University, Los Angeles. Gifts beyond the regular membership rate and outright contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
