Program Description

The programs in Health Science include Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Science as well as a Masters of Arts degree in Health Science.  Students in the Health Science Programs are prepared for professional service in health education, public health environmental health, oral health, community organizing, and health advocacy

The collection is maintained at a level needed to support both undergraduate and graduate instruction.  Emphasis is placed on current research in the field of Communication Disorders; therefore an effort is made to keep periodicals in print and electronic format, and to provide access to periodicals articles in full text.   Specialized reference tools such as handbooks and dictionaries are added to the collection and a selective number of monographs are added to the collection to support the Health Science Program.

Resources in government publication, biology, nutrition, communication, psychology, health science, and child and family studies, may be useful.  Additionally, resources available via the internet, document delivery, and interlibrary loan may also supplement to materials selected for the curriculum.
