Teresa Portilla Omidsalar Program Description The Charter College of Education (CCOE) at California State University, Los Angeles, is committed to leading educators to transform public schools. The College offers a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to the education of children and youth. Collaborating within the Charter College of Education and with public schools in the urban Los Angeles area, the faculty prepares professionals to become learner advocates who show competence in subject matter and professional knowledge and skills and who are dedicated to improving the educational environment of all children and youth. The CCOE is divided into three divisions: Curriculum & Instruction; Special Education and School Counseling; and Educational Foundations & Interdivisional Studies. Guidelines for collecting materials to support research, teaching, and learning in the three divisions are found under the divisions. General education materials such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, annuals, and other types of reference sources that may serve several divisions are ordered under these guidelines.
