Scott Breivold Program Description The programs of the Department of Art offer students the opportunity to acquire a background of understanding and skills, and to develop their abilities in the visual arts. The program prepares students for advanced professional study in art as well as for many professions in teaching, business, and industry. Students with career interests in animation, ceramics, graphic design, photography, illustration, computer graphics, painting, printmaking, sculpture, interior and architectural design, jewelry and metal craft, art history, fashion and textiles, and art education will find appropriate programs or courses of study in the department. The department also participates in an Interdisciplinary Studies Minor in Multimedia that enables students to develop interactive, multimedia products. The degree programs include: Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Master of Fine Arts.

Primary LC Classes N; NA; NB-NE; NK; NX; TR 624-685 Chronological Coverage Art history materials from all periods are collected. Current resources are emphasized in the graphics, multimedia, and digital arts areas. Geographical Coverage No geographic restrictions, however resources acquired are primarily in English. Other Resources Art students may also be supported by materials collected for other departments, such as Communication Studies, Theatre Arts, Science and Technology, Sociology, English, History, etc.
