| 1) The library
has had to reduce hours during the week and will be closed
on Sundays. The library will now close at 8pm Mon-Thurs. and be closed on Sundays. In addition, the Music & Media Center will close at 7pm M-TH and is closed on the weekends. This was necessary in order to address a 20.38% reduction in the library's budget. We chose our least busy times to cut hours in an effort to minimize the impact on our students. |
| 2) The library will operate with limited services on
the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, through June 2010. Beginning August 7th 2009, the University Library will maintain limited services on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month due to a University Administrative Closure Day, required by the furlough of most state employees. On these days, the Library will be open for its regular hours, but services are limited to the following: • Circulation Desk Services: check out and
check-in regular books, reserves, and interlibrary loan
materials; patrons may pay Library billings or invoices, and
have their registration or transcript holds removed from GET
accounts; change will be available; The Music & Media center
will be closed -- circulation desk staff may be able to
access some media materials. Consult the Library Calendar to see the "limited service" days at a glance, as well as other days the entire campus will be closed. |
