IBM SPSS Statistics Tutorials

IBM SPSS Statistics is used primarily for statistical analysis and provides tools to analyze data and create reports and graphs from that data. This page provides users with one central location for all SPSS training resources. It includes links to SPSS video tutorials, handouts and workshops provided by the ITS Training Program as well as other useful resources available on the web. YouTube has several channels dedicated to SPSS and statistics tutorials. College and university statistics departments are also a good source of background information on statistics.

Moodle Courses

The ITS Training Program provides a Moodle course on SPSS. The course is divided into four parts and includes video tutorials, sample data files, handouts, slide shows and assessments. In order to access this course, users must log in to Moodle with a myCSULA Identity account.

Handouts

The ITS Training Program provides several step-by-step handouts on SPSS. These handouts are accompanied by sample data files that can be used for hands-on practice.

Workshops

The ITS Training Program offers several in-person workshops on SPSS. The SPSS workshop series is divided into four parts: (1) Descriptive Statistics, (2) Test of Significance, (3) Regression Analysis, and (4) Chi-Square and ANOVA. To request a workshop, please fill out the workshop request form.
