How to Unsubscribe from the Anti-spam Service

Quarantined e-mail messages are deleted 14 days after their delivery date. If you will not be able to manage your quarantined e-mail messages, we recommend that you temporarily unsubscribe from the anti-spam service so that wanted e-mail messages are not inadvertently deleted. If you no longer wish to have your e-mail filtered, you may also follow the steps below to unsubscribe from the anti-spam service.

Note:  The unsubscribe option is not available to students.  Faculty and staff who unsubscribe may re-subscribe at any time.

To unsubscribe:

  1. Log in to the Quarantine Manager.

  2. Click Options from the Quarantine Manager navigation menu. The Options/Mail-Filtering Preferences page will display (see Figure 1).

  3. Select the Turn off all spam content blocking checkbox, then click the Save button to unsubscribe.  The Your options have been saved message display in the lower left corner(see Figure 2).  This confirms your cancellation.

  4. Click the Blocked Messages on the navigation menu. The Quarantine Manager default page (Blocked Messages page) will display. This will conclude the subscription process.
