Blocked Messages

The Blocked Messages page is the default page that is displayed after you log in to the Quarantine Manager. It lists all quarantined e-mail messages that are determined to be spam. You can use the Blocked Messages page to view blocked messages, deliver legitimate messages to your inbox, delete blocked messages, deliver and approve a sender, and delete all messages in the list.

Note: Messages listed on the Blocked Messages page will be deleted 14 days after their delivery date.

To view a blocked message:

  1. Click Blocked Messages from the Quarantine Manager navigation menu. The Blocked Messages page will display (see Figure 1).

  2. Under the Subject column, click the subject of the message you want to view. The message will open in another browser window.
     
  3. To close the message, close the browser window.

    Note:  You can sort blocked messages based on spam Score, the email address listed in the From header, the message's Subject, or the Date the message was delivered. To sort messages by any of these headings, click the heading name.

To deliver a blocked message:

  1. Under the Score column, select the check box beside the message you want to deliver to your inbox. You may select multiple messages from the list.
     
  2. From the header row, click the Deliver Message Button button. The selected message will be released from the quarantine and delivered to your inbox.

To delete a blocked message:

  1. Under the Score column, select the check box beside the message you want to delete. You may select multiple messages from the list.
     
  2. From the header row, click the Delete Message Button button. The selected message will be removed from the Blocked Messages page and sent to the Deleted Messages page.

To deliver a blocked message and approve the sender:

  1. Under the Score column, select the check box beside the message you want to deliver to your inbox and approve the sender. You may select multiple messages from the list.
     
  2. From the header row, click the Deliver and Approve Sender Button button. The Blocked Messages page will display with the Approve Sender form (see Figure 2).

  3. Select if you want to Approve just the sender or Approve all email from the sender's domain.
     
  4. Click the Approve Button button. The selected message will be released and sent to your inbox. The selected sender will be added to your Approved Senders list.

To delete all blocked messages:

  1. From the header row, click the Delete All Button button. The Blocked Messages page will display a message asking you to confirm the deletion of all blocked messages (see Figure 3).

  2. Click the OK Button button to confirm the deletion. All blocked messages will be removed from the Blocked Messages page and will be sent to the Deleted Messages page.
