Blocked Messages

The Blocked Messages page is the default page that is displayed when users log in to the Quarantine Manager. It lists all quarantined e-mail messages. The Blocked Messages page allows users to view blocked messages, deliver legitimate messages to their Inbox, delete individual blocked messages, deliver and approve senders, and delete all blocked messages from quarantine.

Note Messages listed on the Blocked Messages page are deleted 14 days after their delivery date.

To view a blocked message:

  1. Click Blocked Messages on the left navigation menu. The Blocked Messages page displays.

  2. In the Subject column, click the subject of the message you want to view. The message opens in a new web browser window.
  3. To close the message, close the web browser window.

    Note You can sort blocked messages based on spam score, the e-mail address the message came from, the message's subject, or the date the message was delivered. To sort messages by any of these headings, click the heading name.

To deliver a blocked message:

  1. Select the check box next to the message you want to deliver to your Inbox. You may select multiple messages from the list.
  2. Click the Deliver Message button. The selected message is released from quarantine and delivered to your Inbox.

To delete a blocked message:

  1. Select the check box next to the message you want to delete. You may select multiple messages from the list.
  2. Click the Delete Message button. The selected message is removed from the Blocked Messages page and sent to the Deleted Messages page.

To deliver a blocked message and approve the sender:

  1. Select the check box next to the message you want to deliver to your Inbox and approve the sender. You may select multiple messages from the list.
  2. Click the Deliver & Approve Sender button. The Blocked Messages page displays the Approve Sender form.

  3. Select the Approve option to approve only the sender or the Approve all email from option to approve all messages from the sender's domain.
  4. Click the Approve button. The selected message is released from quarantine and delivered to your Inbox. The sender of the selected message is added to your Approved Senders list.

To delete all blocked messages:

  1. Click the Delete All button. The Blocked Messages page displays a message asking you to confirm the deletion of all blocked messages.

  2. Click the OK button to confirm. All blocked messages are removed from the Blocked Messages page and sent to the Deleted Messages page.
