How to Download and Print the Workbooks

The Microsoft Office workbooks are divided into three to six parts, with each part containing multiple lessons. The files are in PDF file format and can be downloaded in whole parts or individual lessons. The links to the files are listed in tables under each application section.

Note To view, save, or print PDF files, download the latest version of Adobe Reader for free from the Adobe website.

Overview

The Microsoft Office 2007 workbooks are divided into whole parts. The links to the PDF files are listed under the Parts column.

The Microsoft Office 2003 workbooks are divided into individual lessons. The links to the PDF files are listed under the Lessons column.

Opening a Workbook

Opening a workbook part or lesson allows you to view it on the screen, save it, or print it.

To open a workbook part or lesson:

  1. Select a Workbooks and Data Files page from the main menu and navigate to the desired application table.

  2. Click the link for the desired workbook part or lesson.

  3. If prompted, authenticate with a valid PINE, NIS, or CSLA account. For instructions, please visit the How to Authenticate page.

  4. The workbook part or lesson opens in a new web browser window.

Saving a Workbook

Once a workbook part or lesson has been opened, it can be saved to a computer or other storage devices. The saved file can be opened at a later time by double-clicking the file.

To save a workbook part or lesson:

  1. Click the Save button Save button on the Acrobat toolbar. The Save a Copy dialog box opens.

  2. Specify a location to save the file using the Save in drop-down list or the folder list.

  3. Click the Save button.

Note To save a workbook part or lesson without first opening it, right-click the link for the desired workbook part or lesson and select Save Target As from the shortcut menu. The Save a Copy dialog box opens. Specify a location to save the file and click the Save button.

Printing a Workbook

Once a workbook part or lesson has been opened, it can be printed.

Note Printing an entire workbook is not recommended since each lesson averages about 30 pages in length.

To print a workbook part or lesson:

  1. Click the Print button Print button on the Acrobat toolbar. The Print dialog box opens.

  2. Select the desired printing options.

  3. Click the OK button.
