An IT Trainer Assistant is responsible for assisting IT Trainers in developing and conducting computer workshops that the ITS Training Program provides for the campus community.
Qualifications
An IT Trainer Assistant must be a team player with above average computer skills, good communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively work with a multicultural student population. IT Trainer Assistants must be prompt, reliable, and willing to learn new skills and concepts.
Duties
- Prepare training lab prior to and after workshops.
- Prepare appropriate instructional materials required for conducting workshops.
- Prepare sign-in sheets.
- Refresh data disks.
- Assist workshop participants to stay on task with the workshop instruction.
- Attend cross-training sessions.
- Assist in developing and/or modifying workshop instructional materials.
- Maintain a neat and orderly training lab and working environment.
- Distribute advertising flyers to faculties.
- Participate in relevant University events to promote services offered by the Training Program and ITS.
- Display and exhibit proper code of conduct to students and co-workers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Evaluation
Periodic performance evaluations are done by the Training Coordinator in addition to the five-week probation period.
