Adobe Photoshop Part 1: The Basics

This workshop teaches the basics of Photoshop and introduces users to the world of digital imaging. Topics covered in this workshop include an overview of the user interface; basic image editing techniques such as resizing, cropping, and rotating; and touch-up techniques such as fixing red eye, repairing dust and blemishes, automatically adjusting an image’s tone, contrast, and color.

Adobe Photoshop Part 2: Editing and Manipulating Photographs

This workshop teaches users how to enhance and correct their digital photos by using preset adjustments for color, contrast, and tonal range, as well as bringing subjects out of shadows, fixing under- and overexposed images, and adjusting image distortion. Some other topics of interest include retouching photos by brightening yellow teeth, removing hot spots, and creating an air-brushed look. Users will also learn how to sharpen images, create panoramic photos, and convert color photos to black and white.

Adobe Photoshop Part 3: Layouts and Masking

This workshop teaches various ways to present imagery such as making posters and creating contact sheets. Some other topics are learning how to use more specific selections tools from the Tools panel as well as masking simple and complex images for use in creative ways.
