VPN Client

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a way to use public telecommunications, such as the Internet, to provide remote offices or individual users with secure and private access to the campus network.

To access the CSULA VPN, you need to download and install the client software. The purpose of this Web site is to guide you through that process.

But, first, please be aware of these considerations:

  1. Only install the VPN software on your off-site computer if you have broadband service.
  2. With VPN, users can remotely access the full Outlook functionality. Those who do not require access to the full Outlook can use Outlook Web Access (OWA).
  3. To help protect your home computer and our campus network, the campus strongly recommends using and regularly updating antivirus software on your home computer.
  4. All non-NIS users must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher for the VPN download to work.

If you have questions or need assistance installing or using the CSULA VPN Client, please call the ITS Help Desk at (323)-343-6170.
