A. At the log in screen, type in your NIS user name and password.
Select the NIS domain. [Note: On some screens, you may only see the user name and password fields. Click the Options button to reveal the 'Log On To' field. Enter the NIS domain.

A. Faculty can request a Padlock Combination Code from the Dean of Educational Support Services (ESS) office at x-3818.

A. Please contact your department secretary or college office.
A. If there is a problem with the computers, projector and/or the printers during instruction between 9am-6pm M-TH, 9am-4-pm Fri contact the ITS Help Desk at (323) 343-6170 to have an ITS staff member paged to provide immediate assistance.
If there is a problem with the computers connecting to the network during instruction after 6pm M-TH, 4pm Fri and on weekends, please contact (323) 343-2630 to have the ITS staff on call paged.

To request a software installation, submit a request to the Dean of Educational Support Services (ESS) in ADM 715 for review and approval before the sixth week of the quarter prior to the quarter of intended use. For example, if the software is to be ready for use by the first day of the fall quarter, the form is due before the sixth week of the summer quarter.

A. There is an external VGA cable next to the monitor; plug this into your laptop's external monitor port. Be sure that the floor mounted computer is switched off.
A. The Mobile TEC Cart consists of a multimedia projector, computer, DVD/VCR Combo player, and amplified speaker. This unit has no laptop hookup or access to the internet. The computer will accept the following medium: floppy, 100 zip, CD and an USB extension cable for external USB memory devices.
