SPSS 10: License Update (2002 - 2003)
Affected System: All PC DSS 3.x
Note: If your SPSS ver. 10 (ver. 11 for OS X) is installed in
Mac,
please contact ITS main office (Lib. South PW 1070) or call 1-323-343-4530
to obtain
new license information. You have to re-install the
software
with new license code.

Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) is a statistical tool that
is available for your DSS system. It requires the license update every
year. To update the latest license information, you need to contact ITS
main office (KHD-140) or call 1-323-343-4530 and ask for PC license code
for SPSS. Then, please follow the steps below.
[Steps]
1. Log in
as NIS account with administrative privilege
2. Select "Start"->"Run"
3. Type "cmd.exe"
and click "OK".
4. Now, You
have locate the installation folder of your SPSS. Generally, you
can find SPSS program under "C:\Program Files\SPSS"
folder. Please follow the DOS commands below:
C:\Documents and Settings\userid> cd \
<enter>
C:\>cd
"Program Files\SPSS" <enter>
C:\Program Files\SPSS>_
4. In "C:\Program
Files\SPSS" folder,
launch "licrenew.exe"
C:\Program
Files\SPSS> licrenew.exe
<enter>
5. When you
are prompted to input the license number, type the license code
you have obtained from ITS main office prior to this procedure.
For example, if the license number is 30059 79713 58846 51241
96237 3247, please enter the license code as shown below:
Enter License Code:
30059 79713 58846 51241 96237 3247
Then, follow the screen instructions.
6. After
completing the license update, please reboot your machine and test
the SPSS program.
