Voicemail Purchase Requests
The Serenade 300 Voice Processing System handles voice mail. Users may purchase a voice mailbox for a one-time fee of $100.00. This fee can be paid from a departmental operating expense account, a grant or contract account, or by a personal check.
All incoming requests are processed by the last day of the month in which the request is received. Programming the voice mail function normally takes two working days. Users can generally expect their voice mail to be operational within one week of submitting a completed request form and payment.
How to Request Voice Mail
- Complete the Voice Mail Purchase Requisition form (available at http://www.calstatela.edu/its/forms). Requisitions must be approved by the department chair or manager. Requisitions without the proper approval will be returned to the department.
- Submit the completed requisition to Communication Services, Library N B-10.
- The user will be notified when the new voice mail is operational.

Voice Mail Security
To ensure system security, user access codes automatically expire every
90 days. When you enter the system, you will be notified that your access
code has expired. You will be instructed to enter a new access code:
Enter your new code and press #, then re-enter the new code to confirm
and press #. Note: you cannot reuse the expiring password; previous
codes can be reused after one year.
