How-To Setup Microsoft Entourage
This tutorial is designed to assist in setting up Microsoft Entourage 2004 11.4.1 to access a campus e-mail account including calendars, contacts, public folders, and free / busy schedules.
The windows and settings are identical for Office 2008.
- From the Applications Folder, select Microsoft Office 2004 › Microsoft Entourage.
- Select Tools › Accounts.
- On the Accounts window select Exchange › New.
- On the Account Setup Assistant window select Configure account manually.
- On the Edit Account window, input information in the following fields:
- Name - your display name
- E-Mail address - fully qualified e-mail address (e.g. user@exchange.calstatela.edu)
- Account ID - the domain account name
- Domain - the domain (e.g. AD)
- Password - the domain/userid password
- Exchange Server - email-ent.calstatela.edu
- Select check box for This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL).
- In the Edit Account window, select the Advanced tab and add information in the following fields and leave remaining fields at their default setting:
- Public Folder server: https://email-ent.calstatela.edu/public
- LDAP server: academic.ad.calstatela.edu
- If the user is a delegate for a department mailbox,
- Select File › Open Other User's Folder...

- In the Open Other User's Folder window, Input of find the name of the department mailbox in the User field.

- Select File › Open Other User's Folder...
- Select OK when finished.
