OAL Wireless Printing for Macintosh

Before installing this Client software, please verify that your system meets these minimum system requirements.

System Requirements

• Macintosh OS 10.3 or later
  Note: Mac OS 10.7 (Lion) is not supported at this time.

Instructions and Downloads

In this procedure you will need to install

• The Pharos Pop-up utility (which is the same for all Mac OS X versions).
• A printer driver (which varies for different Mac OS X versions).

1. Find your OS version. Click on "About this Mac" from the Apple icon.
   
   Which gives you the Mac OS Version Number
   
2. Download the packages.
   • Download the Pop-up package.
   • Download the appropriate "Bizhub" installer.
     • If your Mac is 10.6, download the 10.6 Bizhub Installer.
     • If your Mac is 10.5, download the 10.5 Bizhub Installer.
     • If your Mac is an earlier version, download the 10.3 or 10.4 Bizhub Installer.
3. From your download location, install the Popup package by double clicking it.

9. Start installing the printer driver by double clicking on the correct package for your machine as mentioned at the beginning.

14. Authenticate as before and click OK.
    
15. Click Close to finish the install.
16. Go to System Preferences and select "Print & Fax" from the Hardware submenu.

17. Be sure that the "changes" lock is open.
    
18. Add a printer by using clicking the "+" symbol.
    
19. If you don't have the "Advanced" symbol in the grey toolbar, add it by right clicking on the toolbar and selecting Customize Toolbar.
    
20. Drag the "Advanced" symbol to the grey toolbar and click it when in place which gives you...
    
21. Select Pharos Print Server.

22. You will need to manually type in the URL and device name where you want your print routed for which there are 5 choices.
    • For Annex Link, the URL is popup://print-stlink/bw-printer-st.
    • For ECST Link, the URL is popup://print-ecstlink/bw-printer-et.
    • For King Hall Link, the URL is popup://print-khink/bw-printer-kh.
    • For Salazar Hall Link, the URL is popup://print-shlink/bw-printer-sh.
    • For Union Link, the URL is popup://print-sulink/bw-printer-su.
    
    
23. The "Name" field must match URL's end segment.
    
24. In the "Print Using:" drop down, select Select Printer Software....
    
25. Select "Bizhup 40P" and click OK.

26. Click Continue which will give you this...
    
27. If you do the last few steps for all printers you'd get this...
    
28. Everything is now in place. Depending on what application you're in, start your print process.
    
29. Select a Pharos printer to print your job which will give you the Popup.

30. Enter your myCSULA Identity ID and click Continue.
    
31. Enter your password and click Print.
32. Go to the release station.
    
33. Tap the screen of the station next to the printer.
    
34. Swipe your card.
    
35. On the screen, tap the desired print job to select it, then tap Print. When finished tap Exit.
    

• Note 1: Problems with your card (such as an old one) will trigger the above error. Go to Golden Eagle Center to resolve this issue.
  
• Note 2: You can use only one Print Release Station at a time.
