Campus Media Resources: Mobile TEC Carts

Image: media cart advantages of a shared technologically enhanced classroom (TEC)? Now they can because each college has its own mobile TEC cart that provides a multimedia projector, computer, DVD/VCR combo player, and amplified speaker.

The mobile TEC carts distributed prior to the fall 2004 quarter offer computers equipped with a 3.5” floppy drive, 100 Mb zip drive, CD drive, and a USB extension cable for external USB memory devices. These carts do not have laptop hookup or access to the Internet, but upgraded versions will.

Six new upgraded mobile TEC carts will be distributed to Educational Support Services at the start of the fall 2004 quarter. In addition, the upgraded mobile TEC cart computers are equipped with 250 Mb zip drives and DVD players that enable the use of online interactive menus.
