Questions:
AD Account
An AD account is a computer account that allows access to the campus network and resources.
Students can apply or pick up their AD account by going to the ITS Help Desk located in the Library Palmer Wing (LIB PW) Lobby. A current CSULA ID or a valid photo ID and proof of registration (i.e. STAR registration class schedule confirmation, tuition payment receipt) are required to receive an AD account. The account will be ready for pick up after one (1) business day. Photo identification must be presented before the account can be issued.
If you cannot remember your password, you will have to apply for a password reset at the ITS Help Desk in the Library Palmer Wing (LIB PW) Lobby. You will be asked to show photo identification and complete the Request for Password Change form. The process to reset your password will take about 5 minutes, however your new password will not become active until the password file is updated on the system. The password file is updated every 60 minutes.
AD accounts for regular students terminate if they graduate, are on a leave of absence, or miss two consecutive quarters.
Students applying under Extended Education, Open University, or ACLP must renew their account every quarter. These students will be asked to show a current quarter fee receipt and a valid photo ID (i.e. CSULA Student ID, Driver License, or Passport). These students must come to the ITS Help Desk at the beginning of each quarter that they are enrolled in. Students not renewing their account within the first four weeks of the quarter will lose their account. If students in these categories become regular students, they must notify the ITS Help Desk of their new standing. After becoming a regular student, they do not need to renew their account every quarter.
All students with name and/or standing changes must go to the ITS Help Desk as soon as possible to maintain their account.
