Get the Service Pack
You can obtain Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) by either downloading it from the Internet or by ordering a CD.
Download SP2 from the Internet
If you have a high speed Internet connection such as DSL or Cable, you can download SP2 and all future critical updates automatically by turning on the Automatic Updates feature in Windows XP. You can also download SP2 from Windows Update.
Order the SP2 CD
If you do not have a high speed Internet connection, you can order the SP2 CD on line or by phone (888) 772-4357. Microsoft will mail the CD to you free of charge within 4 to 6 weeks.
