Desktop Service Software
The Desktop Service Software (DSS) is the base installation on University computers. The DSS is preconfigured to work with the campus infrastructure, and includes the operating system, productivity, security, and licensed software (e.g. Microsoft Office) appropriate for a particular machine.
Current DSS
DSS is available for staff, faculty, and lab (student image) Windows PCs , usually Dell or HP/Compaq. Please contact your ITC if you would like to update your machine to a new DSS.

- Installed software on Faculty Desktops (FAC DSS 6.1) (/w Office 2007).
- Installed software on Faculty Desktops (FAC DSS 6.0) (/w Office 2007).
- Installed software on Faculty Desktops (FAC DSS 5.8) (/w updated Office 2003).
- Installed software on Faculty Desktops (FAC DSS 5.7) (archive version).
- Installed software on Staff Desktops (Staff DSS 6.1).
- Installed software on Staff Desktops (Staff DSS 6.0).
- Installed software on Staff Desktops (Staff DSS 5.7).
