Desktop Service Software
The Desktop Service Software (DSS) is the base installation on University computers. The DSS is preconfigured to work with the campus infrastructure, and includes the operating system, productivity, security, and licensed software (e.g. Microsoft Office) appropriate for a particular machine.
DSS 5.6
DSS 5.6 is available for powerpc-based Mac's. Please contact your ITC if you would like to update your machine to this DSS.

- G4 700mhz PPC processor or better
- 512mb RAM
- 40GB Hard Drive
DSS 6.0
DSS 6.0 includes Mac OS X Leopard. DSS 6.0 is currently available for all intel-based Mac's.

- Baseline iMac 17", Macbook, or better with Intel processor
