Hewlett Packard
California State University has a custom Hewlett Packard Store for faculty and staff where they can make purchases for themselves or the department. Although we have pre-selected printers in the Custom H-P Store for your convenience, you can add accessories and supplies to your cart.
Most HP printers have USB 2.0 connections available (connect to a "print server" pc). On bulk printing you may want network connect (connect to the campus intranet). Or, you may want duplex printing or some other enhancement. HP has consistent extensions to printer models which are defined as follows:

- Network. Has a JetDirect (Intranet) connection.
- d
- Duplex. Can print on both sides.
- t
- Tray. Has tray for sorting.
- h
- Hard Drive. Can store large documents for queuing.
- w
- Wireless. Can be connected using bluetooth.
So, for example, a model p4015dtn would have a JetDirect card, be able to print duplex, and have a sorting tray.
Once you have chosen the printer you want to purchase, print the detailed quote from the HP website and attach a requisition form for purchase of the printer. After submitting the requisition, the purchasing office will let you know the exact price. You may download and view the Requisition and Procurement forms below:
