Buying an Apple Computer
California State University has a custom Apple Store for
Faculty, Staff and Students where they can make a purchase for
themselves or the department. Although, we have pre-configured
various systems in the
Custom Apple Store
for your convenience, you are able to configure them to meet your
needs.
For University purchases, once you have chosen the computers you
want to purchase, print the detailed quote from the website and
attach a requisition form for leasing the machine. After
submitting the requisition,
the
purchasing office will arrange for the lease. Nancy Clausen will contact
the users to let them know the exact lease price. For Macintosh,
there is an option to purchase equipment for an amount not to
exceed the Fair Market Value (FMV) of the equipment upon the
expiration of lease. For Dell, departments have the option of
selecting a $1.00 Buy-out if the order is larger than $5,000.00,
otherwise it will be a Fair Market Value (FMV) lease. In order to
