McAfee VirusScan 8.6 for Macintosh
The McAfee software on this web page is for Cal State L.A. faculty and staff and is intended for home use. Upon termination of employment, all copies of the McAfee software obtained through this web page must be uninstalled. Please note that you need to authenticate yourself before you can download the software.
If you need a PDF reader, you can download Adobe Reader for free.
Minimum System Requirements
- PowerPC or Intel based Mac computer
- Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.6 or later) or Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) operating system
- 512 MB (or higher) RAM
- Minimum 45 MB of free disk space
- Completely remove any Virex, Norton or Sophos Anti-Virus software

Note: When logging in, make sure to include the appropriate domain (CSLA or NIS). Windows XP users need to type NIS\ or CSLA\ before their Username (e.g., NIS\jdoe).
