International Education Week 2019

2019 International Education Week at Cal State LA

International Education Week (IEW), November 18-22, 2019, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.

Cal State LA International encourages the participation of all Cal State LA students, faculty and staff in celebrating IEW, joining other colleges and universities across the U.S. that celebrate IEW on their campuses To that end, we hope to see you at one or more of the following Cal State LA IEW events:

Hosted by Cal State LA International in partnership with the University Library, enjoy a selection of films from around the globe. Popcorn and snacks will be provided throughout the afternoon.

Study Abroad Panel Event

Find out how study abroad can be part of your academic plan. Hear from Cal State LA students who have traveled abroad; how they navigated the application process and how they financed their programs. Participate in activities and win prizes. Refreshments to be provided.

International Festival

Sponsored by Cal State LA International and ASI, the international festival will offer free performances, multi-cultural activities including henna tattoos, and more.

International Cultural Night & Dinner

Enjoy an evening of exciting entertainment representing cultures from across the globe along with a tasty international buffet dinner – all for a great price. Entertainment highlights include flamenco dance, traditional Haka dance, and more.
