Ghana Summer Program

Program Snapshot:

This program will take students on a textile and apparel excursion to Accra, Kumasi, the Volta and Coastal regions of Ghana. Students will engage with the contrasting systems of slow and fast textile and apparel manufacturing in Ghana. Participants will explore free trade, fair trade and Ghana’s place in the global fashion market. 

Dates:  January 3- January 20, 2017
Academic Focus: Art, Textiles, Apparel Manufacturing
Language of Instruction:  English
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher
Course: ART454P – Textile and Apparel Production in Ghana 
Units:  3 units 
Housing: Hotel Accommodations will be provided.
Program Cost: $2,850 per person  (Airfare and personal spending NOT included)

Domestic van transportation, fieldtrips are also not included in the program cost. Students should plan to bring an additional $200-$500 for material, domestic transportation, and fieldtrips.
