Study Abroad: Eastern Germany Urban Geography
The purpose of the course is to understand the different ways that cities can manage growth through a comparison of American and European examples. An urban planning approach will be taken to achieve this goal, with a focus on how transportation choices can be used and modified to help cities develop efficiently and with environmental sensitivity. By traveling to Germany students in the class will see how European cities handle issues of urban growth, and will be able to compare European techniques to American methods.
- GPA of 2.75 or higher
- To enroll in GEOG 470, students must have taken GEOG 155
Program Cost: $4,086 (includes one 4-unit course, housing, domestic travel, some meals, excursions, medical insurance and administrative costs). Airfare and personal spending are NOT included in the program cost.
