Summer 2015 Record Enrollment Numbers!
For the first time since the ADN-BSN Collaborative Program began in Summer 2013, we have 3 cohorts taking classes during the Summer 2015 quarter—that’s over 180 students enrolled in our program at one time, and soon-to-be 180+ new BSN-prepared nurses ready to serve patients in Los Angeles, across California, and beyond!
First ADN-BSN Collaborative Program Cohort Graduates Spring/Summer 2015!
Cohort 1 of the ADN-BSN Collaborative Program participated in the College of Health and Human Services Undergraduate Commencement ceremony on June 13, 2015. 61 students have received their BSN degrees as the very first students to graduate from the ADN-BSN Collaborative Program. We are very proud of our first cohort of students who are a testament to the important role the Collaborative Program plays in increasing the number of BSN-prepared nurses in California’s nursing workforce today!
Cal State LA Academic Progression in Nursing Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Successful Site Visits:
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation site visits evaluate the progress, goal achievement, and success of the APIN programs. The Cal State LA/California APIN program hosted two successful site visits during the 2014-2015 academic year: October 31, 2014 and July 8 & 9, 2015.
California Action Coalition Summit – October 30, 2014
The School of Nursing at Cal State LA was proud to host the California Action Coalition Summit in Fall 2014. The focus of the nursing summit was on the four pillars of advancing academic progression in nursing in California. Sue Hassmiller (Senior Advisor for Nursing, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; Director, Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action), Judee Berg (Executive Director, California Institute for Nursing & Health Care), Mary Dickow (Statewide Director, California Action Coalition), Mary Foley (Director, California Action Coalition), and Cal State LA’s own Lorie Judson (Director, Cal State LA School of Nursing) were among the many distinguished presenters for an audience of nursing leaders from all over California.
