Advising for Current Majors
Before seeking advising in the major, you should first read and be familiar with the Criminal Justice program requirements and policies as provided in the School’s Undergraduate Handbook and in MOODLE for Criminal Justice Undergraduate Advising. You should also check the University Catalog. You will be able to find the answers to most of your questions using these resources.
The academic advisor is available to provide further assistance with:
- Initial program planning
- Evaluation of criminal justice transfer work
- Petitions of criminal justice transfer work
- General program progress checks
- Graduation check questions
- Program disqualifications
Advising is provided by appointment only between 9:00 and 4:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and between 9:30 and 5:00 on Wednesday. To Schedule an Academic Advising Appointment Click here.
When visiting the advising office, new transfer students should bring an unofficial copy of their transcripts and current students must bring a program sheet filled in with all courses they have taken and/or are currently taking. A program sheet is available in the CJ Moodle or the School’s Undergraduate Handbook.
To seek approval for changes to your program or directed electives that are not on the pre-approved list, you must contact the Undergraduate Program Director Dr. Lisa Graziano.
