This week please help us welcome Dr. Elaine Draper!
Dr. Elaine Draper is a Cal State L.A. Professor of Sociology and lawyer. Dr. Draper received her J.D. from UCLA and her Ph.D. in Sociology from UC Berkeley, did a postdoc at Stanford, and worked as bioethicist and staff scientist for National Institutes of Health. She founded and directs CSULA’s Law and Society Program; has published books and law review articles on sociolegal topics; supervised hundreds of CSULA students doing law-related internships and service learning projects; given over 100 talks at U.S. and international conferences.
She received the Salvatori Award for Innovative Teaching in Experiential Education, the NSS Outstanding Faculty Achievement Award from CSULA's Associated Students, and four times the Exceptional Service to Students Award. She also received the Robert K. Merton Prize, Gertrude Jaeger Prize, Phi Kappa Phi Faculty Recognition Award, and other awards for her books and articles. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental policy and law, sociology of law, bioethics and medical sociology, and work and organizations; and does a lot of pre-law advising.

The event will be conducted by Derek Rethwisch, a veteran TestMasters instructor with 13 years of LSAT teaching experience, and an official LSAT score in the 99th percentile. After the exam, Derek will go over some of the most difficult questions. Attendees will also receive a one-week pass to our Online Resource Center, where they can score the mock LSAT, review detailed explanations, and get one-on-one assistance from TestMasters instructors!
