Cal State LA’s Departments of TV Film and Media Studies and Communication are delighted to invite our Cal State LA colleagues and graduate students to join us for the 71st annual conference of the University Film and Video Association to be held July 30-August 2, 2017 at Cal State LA. Special early activities are also being planned.

Papers and media that reflect the conference theme: MEDIA DIVERSITY: INCLUSION AND CONVERGENCE are especially encouraged, however papers, panels, workshops,
demonstrations, script readings and screenings that reflect UFVA’s commitment to media
studies and creation are a vital part of every UFVA conference.

Please join us for a Graduate Student Meet-n-Greet for the MA in Theatre, MA in TVFM and MFA in TVFT. Meet new incoming students, reconnect with returning peers, and chat with faculty and staff who you will be working with over the course of your time at Cal State LA.
This is an opportunity for new and returning students to check in, ask questions, get answers, meet colleagues, and share information.
