Citing Sources/Reference Structure

When you cite an author in text, simply put name and page # in parentheses. Thus:

In the view that I am discussing, lesbianism is perceived as a threat to male dominance in Chicano community (Trujillo, 281).

Or:               According to Trujillo, lesbianism is perceived as a threat to male dominance in Chicano community (281).

An article from the Anderson anthology can be included in the reference list (at the end of the paper) as follows:

Davis, Angela. "Race, Racism and the Myth of the Black Rapist" in J. L. Anderson (ed.) Race, Gender, and Sexuality: Philosophical Issues of Identity and Justice (Prentice Hall: Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, 2003).

Again, when you cite an author in text, simply put name and page # in parentheses. Thus:

In the view that I am discussing, the myth of the black rapist was invented in order to justify the lynching of black men (Davis, 578).
