Prerequisite: CIS 283 or permission of instructor.

Objectives: The primary objective of this course is to provide the student with a detailed understanding of computer hardware and system software. The material covered in this course is intended to form a foundation of technical knowledge for systems analysis, design, configuration, procurement, and management. It is designed to introduce the basic concepts in computer logic, data concepts and formats, computer architecture and hardware operation, and system software to students in information systems.
