Prerequisite: CIS 484 or permission of instructor.
Objectives:
This course will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how to
design and manage local area networks. Current network types and evolving networking
technologies are introduced. Students will learn about the equipments and technologies
used in LANs and popular protocols and common network services. This course also introduces
the student to wireless technologies as well as network security. There are hands-on projects
that provide studednts with real experience in using some of the tools involved in network
design and implementation.
