INTRODUCTION
Dr. Siyon Rhee has taught theory, practice, and researach courses at CSULA's School of Social Work. She will teach human behavior, researh, and graduate thesis courses this Winter in the School of Social Work.
TEACHING INTERESTS
Her major areas of scholarly interest and concern are health & mental health among immigrant Asians, child welfare, and aging.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Specific recent research interests include (1) child maltreatment among immigrant Asian families; (2) acculturation and psychological well-being among Asian American adolescents; (3) depression among elderly Asians; (4) Definitions of mental health and mental health service utilization patterns in immigrant Asian families; and (5) domestic violence in immigrant Asian families.
