Everyone else has a web site, so I figured, why not me too? On this site I'll describe myself and share my interests and ideas. Click on my professional information link to find out what I do and click on the other links to find out what I enjoy!I have a Ph.D. from the Ohio State University (received in 1982) I did
my undergraduate studies at Sonoma State College (BA received in 1978). I
have been a Professor of Economics and Statistics at Cal State LA since
1982. I have extensive experience in banking and finance, project
management and macroeconomic policy in the Caribbean, Central America,
Africa and Asia. I have worked with USAID, FAO, USDA, IFAD, and WOCCU in
the following countries: Honduras, Dominican Republic, Dominica, Jamaica,
Sri Lanka, Philippines, Kenya, Mauritius, Rwanda, The Gambia, Poland, and
South Africa.
I have taught almost every course offered by the Department of Economics
and Statistics. I have extensive experience in using the Internet and the
Web in delivering curriculum.
I retired in June 2011. I am currenlty on FERP status and am an Emeritus Professor.
Personal Information
I enjoy bridge, literature, foreign films, volunteer service to the community, and spending time with my wife Shellee and kids (Dominic age 31, Phil age 26, Stephanie 20, and Nathanael 18).
