Dr. J. Sabrina Mims is currently Professor of Education at California State University, Los Angeles and Director of the Los Angeles Accelerated Schools Center. Her primary areas of research and interest include Multilingual/Multicultural Education, Emergent Literacy, New Models of Teacher Education in a Global Community and School Transformation. She has authored several children’s Reading textbook series in both Spanish and English along with numerous articles in professional journals. She has presented internationally on the topics of school transformation and reform and serves as an educational consultant for a variety of organizations including Rotary International, the International Reading Association, the American Egyptian Master Teacher Exchange program, Intel ® Teach The Future and more.
