Below, in four trimetric views, is a finite element model of the right half of the Solar Eagle III car frame with the body belly-pan attached. The model was created with MSC/NASTRAN for Windows. The frame, belly pan, and body (not shown) are constructed from carbon fiber and epoxy composite materials. Visible are, from front to back, front roll bar, steering column, driver, driver's seat and backrest, overhead roll bar, front suspension, battery box, and rear suspension.
