Shackelford Professor Office: Engineering and Technology, room  A-327 Phone: (323) 343-4543 FAX:   (323) 343-4571 Email:  rshacke@calstatela.edu Introduction Recognized by The Fire Chiefs Association as a professional leader, Dr. Shackelford provides expertise in the fire protection service to fire departments and agencies throughout the country including the U.S. Fire Service.   Teaching Interests He has developed and taught televised fire protection courses for CSLA to a network of fire departments in Southern California. In addition, Dr. Shackelford has assisted in the development and updating of the upper division curriculum for the Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Administration and Technology.   Research Interests Dr. Shackelford has researched and initiated a computerized inventory system and assisted in the direction of administration and staff services: including planning, research, special projects, reports, legislative review and personnel administration.
