This ceramic teapot by Randall Bruce, artist, was recorded with a video camcorder and programmed into the computer using QuickTime VR (QTVR) . QTVR allows students studying art to examine the form and overall design of the teapot at their desktop computer. By dragging on the teapot with their mouse, students can control and view it from any angle. Students during class critiques of three dimensional artwork can demonstrate and rotate art objects at their computer and transmit this data to other students in the classroom using DVC or via the Internet to other classrooms working on art criticism and aesthetic design. Using a "shared whiteboard" in DVC, students can also share their digital artwork and ideas with others and receive feedback.
