INTRODUCTION 

Pera Jambazian worked as Director of Child Nutrition Services for 10 years for three different school districts. She has also had experience in nutrition consulting, food service management, marketing and personnel management. She has been a part-time instructor at Cal State L.A. since 1995 in Health and Nutritional Science until accepting a full-time tenure track appointment in Fall, 1996. She is also a Certified Exercise/Fitness Instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine.

TEACHING INTERESTS 

Institutional Foods, Nutrition, Food Service Management, Cultural Foods, Sanitation.

RESEARCH INTERESTS 

Calcium and osteoporosis in pre- and post-menopausal women.

Insulin-like growth factors and bone mass density in the elderly-examining dietary factors.

IsoPlavones and effect on bone metabolism and blood lipids.

Nutrition and Exercise.
