The Latin Jazz Ensemble is an outgrowth of the Small Jazz Ensembles. It started in the fall of 1997 under the direction of Paul De Castro and has already become one of the most popular ensembles. It has been invited to perform at several jazz festivals. This ensemble performs Latin jazz as well as more traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms.
