INTRODUCTION
A Nigerian born scholar, schooled at the University of Ibadan (The Premier University-GREAT UI) and at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Olaiya obtained his Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Ola taught for nine years at the College of Charleston, SC. He is presently a Professor of Early Childhood Education at Cal State LA. He taught at different levels from Kindergarten to Grade 12 both in Nigeria and in Canada.

TEACHING INTERESTS
He is currently teaching courses in early childhood education, and also serves as a consultant with both public and private schools.

RESEARCH
“The Beginning Teachers: Exploring their Successes, Struggles, Challenges, and the Contextual Factors Influencing Their Work.” This study will increase understanding of how first-year teachers interpret and make decisions of their teaching world. It will give new teachers insight on how to mentally prepare themselves and gain insight into their professional growth and development.
