INTRODUCTION

I have been part of the CSULA community since 1992. Over the years I have taught many undergraduate and graduate courses in the department. My fields of specialization include urban sociology, demography, women and development and gender inequalities. I have enjoyed my association with the faculty and students. Although I have also taught at Cal Poly Pomona, CSU, Fullerton.


TEACHING INTERESTS

I enjoy teaching gender, urban, development, aging and intimate relationship issues. My strength lies in providing keen insights into the complexities of life. I hold very high expectations of students and yet, I am sensitive to their needs and goals.


RESEARCH INTERESTS

I have worked on a few projects and presented at the PSA meetings.
