Bio
Professor Ming Wang teaches in the Department of
Information Systems at California State University, Los Angele. She received
her Ph. D. from Southern Illinois University in 1993 and taught previously in
the Department of Computer Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She
currently serves as IS Curriculum Committee Chair and SAP Faculty Coordinator
at Cal State LA.
She received Excellence in Teaching Award and Innovative
Teaching Award from CBE of Cal State LA. She was also awarded numerous grants
including NSF “Service-Oriented Paradigm across Introductory Information
Technology Curricula” grant, Online Teaching Grant and Research, Scholarship,
and Creativity Grant.
She received certified Oracle, SAP, CISCO, CMMI, TSP,
Software Testing, Information Assurance and HIT trainings as well as Instructor
Certification of SAP ERP/SIM Games and NSF Information Assurance Capacity
Building Certification from Carnegie Mellon University. Her industrial experiences
include being Software Engineer in Boeing at NASA Kennedy Space Center and
System Instructor at Iowa Health Systems.
She has published over 30 articles in refereed journals
including e-Service
Journal, Information Systems Management
journals, and Journal of Information Systems
Education and more than a dozen of articles in
the international conference proceedings as well as six book chapters. She
currently serves as the Editorial Review Board Member of Journal of Electronic Commerce in
Organizations (JECO) as well as reviewers of numerous textbooks and referred
journals. She made more than twenty professional presentations including
keynote speech in the international conferences,
research seminars and technical workshops. She also received a number of
distinguished research awards from CSC, AITP and IABPAD organizations. Her current research interests
are in e-business, supply chain management, ERP, e-commerce
globalization, agent technology, and healthcare applications: EHR and EMR.
