INTRODUCTION
I started teaching at CSULA in Spring 2001. I have chosen CSULA for many reasons. CSULA is recognized internationally as a benchmark for excellence, innovation, integrity and providing students with the opportunity to excel academically and professionally. More importantly, CSULA provides faculty and students both a supportive, open, culturally sensitive, and collegial academic environment.

RESEARCH
My research interest is the contaminant transport in subsurface in sediments, soils, and water, bioavailibility of trace elements in sediments specially, coastal sediments, hydrogeology and geochemistry of urbanized regions, remediation and clean up methods for various contaminants.
