INTRODUCTION
With an American Studies background, I have examined
the ways in which the Humanities and the Social Sciences
complement one another. My approach to education has
been to seek connections between the conventional and
the contemporary, the provincial and the progressive. My
position in the English Dept allows me to explore and
teach my interests in African American Studies, Film
Studies, Gender Studies, Popular Culture, and Creative
Writing.
